Our Back to School Lookbook

Our Back to School Lookbook

It’s that time of year again! The days are getting colder, the kids are getting older, and the moms are counting down the minutes until the school year starts (I mean, we love them. But three months is long enough!) Goodbye sun-kissed cheeks, hello preschool!

As you check off items on the school supplies list your child’s teacher (hopefully) provided, you’re also pulling out the fall wardrobe and realizing just how much your little one has grown since June! You know what that means: back to school clothes shopping!!! No need to stress, though, we’ve got you covered with buttery soft essentials to refresh your child’s closet.

Let’s start with the first day of school outfit. It should be cute and special for porch photos but also comfy and playtime-ready. Pair one of our short sleeve shirts with a denim jacket and some new sneakers for a darling look that can keep up with your little bundle of energy all day long.

Back to School Essentials

Of course, no back to school supplies list is complete without the perfect backpack. Made with moisture-wicking polyester to protect your child’s school books and the toy they snuck in when you weren’t looking, Brave Little Ones backpacks are built to last while toting everything your little scholar needs to learn in style.

Now that we have the Day One essentials put together, let’s fill in the gaps with some cozy new basics:

Cozy Up for Fall Weather

To keep your little one warm on those blustery days, stock up on cozy pullovers for an extra layer of soft protection against the chill. The Brave French Terry Pullover in our signature Camel color is definitely a favorite of kids and mamas alike, and matches perfectly with the Camel Knit Beanie to keep the ears toasty.

Speaking of cozying up…we think moms deserve a little something too. Splurge on a luxuriously soft lounge set to kick back and relax while the kids are off at school—you’ve earned it! And to our homeschooling moms out there…how about a matching lounge set with your kiddo? Because if you’re going to be both mom and teacher, you deserve to spend the day in comfort. It’ll feel like living in pajamas, while still looking chic enough to go out and about (pro tip: pair your lounge set with a denim jacket and your favorite kicks for an athleisure look you’ll want to wear again and again.)

Back to school season is an emotional time. Your new preschooler might be scared to be away from you for so long, and you’ll probably shed some tears as you pull out of the parking lot. But this is also a huge step on your brave little one’s journey to independence, and that’s something worth celebrating! Be strong and courageous—this is just the beginning.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
