Hiring Apparel Product Development / Production Assistant

Want to join our small but mighty team? We are seeking a Product Development/ Production Assistant to join our team at their office in Bakersfield, CA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following below. Other duties may be assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

Successfully manage the development and production process, end to end:

Pre-Production tasks such as: 

  • Assisting in creating full collections
  • Picking out trending Pantone colors
  • Finding design inspiration and communicating new designs with designers
  • Once design is complete making sure graphic sizing is ready for apparel production
  • Creating and handing off production packet with finalized designs, colors and order information 
  • Creating production calendar and making sure lab dips and PO are issued on time
  • Communicating production calendar with team
  • Once a quarter assist in developing tech pack, measurements, and grading for new styles

    Mid-Production tasks such as: 

    • Review lab dips, strike offs, and follow up on fabric quality for samples. 
    • Assist in fit session when new samples arrive if needed
    • Make sure sample specs on garments are correct, and put together new size chart if needed
    • Help resolve production related problems
    • Make sure goods are produced / shipped in the correct quality and requirements
    • Work with quality control company to ensure quality meets our high standard

      Post-Production tasks such as: 

      • Once photo samples arrive from manufacturer: scheduling brand photoshoot, finding models, organize products per kid to be sent off
      • Making sure we have all the photos we need. If any additional styled photos are needed taking them or finding photographer to assist
      • Taking web whites (website photos), making any necessary color corrections to pictures
      • Creating product listings for site, uploading web whites and photoshoot pictures
      • Organize Pantone library and help brand stay organized with production

        Job Requirements: 

        • 1 year minimum experience in apparel industry
        • 1 year minimum Shopify experience
        • Strong collaboration and communication skills
        • Experience working with a small staff and wearing multiple hats
        • Exceptional time management skills
        • Detail oriented with colors, designs and photos
        • Positive & flexible attitude
